Nang Loeng Community: Vibrant food market and performance central
Nestled in Bangkok’s Old Town, Nang Loeng’s century-old market is a Thai food lover’s dream and hard-to-find desserts, made from traditional recipes. It is home to Thailand’s first wooden movie theater “Sala Chaloen Thaini” and the legendary Thai actor Mitr Chaibancha, who appeared in hundreds of Thai films in the 1950s-70s. Most importantly, Lakhon Alley in Nang Loeng is one of the last strongholds of classical Thai performance dance.
